Olayan School of Business Career Services (OCC)
Brief History
The Olayan School of Business Career Services (OCC) was established in 2002 under the leadership of Dean Dr. George K. Najjar. The OCC came about as a result of the continuous improvement process that the school of business undertakes and the dynamic progression to better prepare our students to meet the market changes.
Function
The OSB Career Services provides personal and online services to OSB students and graduates as well as to companies in Lebanon and the region.
Over the past six years, the OSB Career Services has served over 2000 OSB students in counseling, coaching, and providing them with internship and employment opportunities. Additionally, the OCC has served as a hub for many recent OSB graduates for advising on career changes, and on the job conflict resolution.
The OCC liaises between the local, regional and multinational corporation with OSB students, recent graduates and alumni for internship and recruitment purposes. The OCC has earned the reputation of the most valuable academic source of talent recruitment by many local, regional, and multinational corporations in the Middle East Region.
Placement Services
The OSB Career Services tends to encourage companies to post job vacancies and internship opportunities on-line. However, many companies still follow the traditional method of recruitment, whereby all processes (presentations, on campus interviews) are all arranged and conducted in person at the School.
There are three specific methods by which companies recruit from OSB. Through:
- Posting job vacancies and receiving the applications of interested candidates.
- Conducting recruitment presentations and interviewing potential candidates.
- Circulating job vacancies through OSB Career Services to students and Alumni.
